چکیده

Remanufacturing has been gaining increasing attention in the last few years as a part of green engineering. It is process restoring original specifications given product utilizing combination new, repaired, and old parts. The present study investigates non-destructive disassembly an interference fit pin-hub joint to enable reuse worn parts with same loading capacity. aim reduce force while preventing plastic deformation frictional damage on contact surface avoid fretting failure further coating. A finite element model shaft/hub was developed, taking into account two cases mating parts: corrosion. results indicate that thermal effective reducing breaking by 50% deformed joints, whereas vibration waves are more suitable for corroded increased friction. In addition, applying low-frequency oscillation axis reduces pulling out 5% 99% due acoustic softening effects. Furthermore, using heat flux simultaneously decreases 85%, indicating higher effectiveness thermal-aided vibration-assisted This provides remanufacturing designers efficient tools weaken decrease disconnecting force, ultimately cost time required process.

Mixed Assembly and Disassembly Operations for Remanufacturing*

In this paper we consider the problem of designing a mixed assembly–disassembly line for remanufacturing. That is, parts from the disassembly and repair of used products can be used to build “new” products. This is a problem common to many OEM remanufacturers, such as Xerox or Kodak. We study two main configurations, under the assumption that the disassembly sequence is exactly the reverse of t...

A Heuristic for Disassembly Planning in Remanufacturing System

This study aims to improve the efficiency of disassembly planning in remanufacturing environment. Even though disassembly processes are considered as the reverse of the corresponding assembly processes, under some technological and management constraints the feasible and efficient disassembly planning can be achieved by only well-designed algorithms. In this paper, we propose a heuristic for di...

Flat Screen Monitor Disassembly and Testing for Remanufacturing

The remarketing of used flat screen desktop monitors is evolving into a profitable market segment. Demand for used or non-functional monitors is growing especially in Eastern European countries and cannot be covered by End-of-Life (EoL) products, yet. Non-functional phase-out models are often sold to repair-shops in Eastern European countries, which is often associated with improper EoL treatme...

Analysis of Disassembly Systems in Remanufacturing using Kanban Control

Disassembly is the most critical stage of remanufacturing activities. The condition of parts disassembled for reuse/remanufacturing display a high variance. Hence demand for different parts found in a core cannot always be satisfied by a single core. At this point the question is whether to partially or fully disassemble the second core. In this paper, we concentrate on quantifying the potentia...

Non-destructive Phenotyping to Identify Brachiaria Hybrids Tolerant to Waterlogging Stress under Field Conditions

Brachiaria grasses are sown in tropical regions around the world, especially in the Neotropics, to improve livestock production. Waterlogging is a major constraint to the productivity and persistence of Brachiaria grasses during the rainy season. While some Brachiaria cultivars are moderately tolerant to seasonal waterlogging, none of the commercial cultivars combines superior yield potential a...
